Abstract
The article highlights the long historical roots, development, and contemporary significance of traditional folk games in the Surkhan Oasis. Uzbek folk games have been formed since primitive society based on labor, lifestyle, and cultural heritage, playing an important role in physical, mental, and intellectual upbringing. The games of the Surkhan Oasis are divided into three main groups: games with objects, games without objects, and competitive games involving stakes or rewards. These games have a seasonal character and are closely adapted to agricultural and livestock activities. The article reveals the ethnological and historical importance of national games that are deeply connected with the daily life, customs, and beliefs of the people of the Surkhan Oasis.
