BOXTAR SATRAPLIGI TARIXINING BEHISTUN BITIKLARIDA YORITILISHI (MILODDAN OLDINGI VI–IV ASRLAR)

Abstract

Bakhtar(Bactria) is a historical and cultural region in Central Asia, located in the middle reaches of the Amudarya between the Hisar range and the Indian Kush (now Southern Uzbekistan, Southern Tadjikistan, Northern Afghanistan, and South-Eastern Turkmenistan). This historical and cultural region was part of the Achaemenid Empire in the 6-4th century BC. Information about the history of the Bactrian satrapy is found in Achaemenid inscriptions as well as in Elamite, Babylonian, Aramaic, Phoenician, Egyptian, Lydian, Carian, Lycian, Greek, and Latin languages. The scientific analysis of this type of source helps to obtain valuable information about the history of the political, and socio-economic of the Bakhtar satrapy, and the lifestyle of the population. It is illuminated tha scientific issues of the Bakhtar satrapy in the Behistun inscription.
