Abstract

This paper investigates the current status of rare species of the genus Scutellaria L. distributed in the flora of the South-Western Hissar Mountains. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to conserve endemic and threatened plant species of the region. Field surveys, herbarium collections (TASH, LE, MW, TAJ, AA), and digital databases were used to assess species distribution and conservation status. The results revealed 17 species of Scutellaria, including 3 endemic species of Uzbekistan and 4 species listed in the Red Data Book of Uzbekistan. The study confirms that the South-Western Hissar is an important center of diversity and endemism for the genus Scutellaria.
